This Blue King nutcracker is based on the standard VERO composite body. Aside from the different color scheme, it also has a more traditional nutcracker crown compared to the company's other king models.
This example was among the last to be made by VERO and carries a late, round Expertic label. Christian Ulbricht would later transition this model and other VERO designs to wood bodies.
This specimen was missing paint in a few places, with the most missing from the top of the crown. It was otherwise in very good condition. It's rare to find a VERO nutcracker that doesn't at least have a few loose joints or worse, has been reglued in a haphazard way. This one appears to have been taken care of. It also helps that it was made late in the history of the company.
